MIXED ASIAN DAY® IS BACK
SEPTEMBER 13, 2025
WE’RE SO EXCITED TO BE CELEBRATING IN SAN FRANCISCO THIS YEAR!
Mixed Asian Media created this day alongside Leviathan Lab to celebrate what it means to be mixed Asian. We aim to bring together an inclusive community that truly embraces the diversity of Asian Pacifica identities, including those of Asian adoptees. Every individual brings a unique perspective that enriches our collective narrative. Whether you're mixed, an Asian adoptee, or an ally who values and supports inclusivity, your presence is a valued thread in this diverse tapestry.

In 2021, MAM Created Mixed Asian Media Fest, a celebration of mixed Asian and Pacific Islanders who express themselves through creative art forms — including film, theatre, art, dance, and more! Part film festival, part “Mixed Asian Convention,” MAMF was an amalgamation of panels, discussions, performances, screenings, and networking/socializing events.
The five-day inaugural MAM Fest was completely virtual (in light of COVID-19) allowing for a wide variety of online guest speakers, panels, and engagement.
The second MAMF was a three-day weekend, in-person event in NYC, packed with programming! Winners were selected and awarded prizes at the end of the fest.
In 2023, MAM transitioned from MAMF to Mixed Asian Day®, eliminating the film festival portion, while continuing similar programming of panels, screenings, community-focused events, and (of course) a party!
Below you can find highlights from previous years.
MAM hopes to continue the event every year, creating a space for community and friends to come together and celebrate.

“With the increase in diversity in the U.S., comes the need to empower diverse-owned media as the voices of their communities. As the media industry is becoming more inclusive of diverse voices, we are excited to lead the charge, along with the team at MAM, to tell more mixed Asian stories and elevate representation.”
“ACE NextGen is proud to sponsor the MAM Fest 2022. As an ally of Asian American Pacific Islanders entrepreneurs, ACE NextGen believes that there can be more representation for AAPI across TV, movies, and theater. We believe in the work that MAM is doing, to change and build a community for mixed Asians in media.”
“Asian Hustle Network will always be a proud supporter of MAM Fest. For too long the mixed Asian community has been overlooked and Alex along with the MAM team are bringing much-needed representation and voices to the community. We are excited about this event to bring the community together.”
