Cheers was started by multidisciplinary artist Mia Dedear. She is of mixed Tawiwanese heritage and originally created her cards for theatre artists in the performance process. As a musician, actor, dancer, and writer herself, Mia uses an additional skill set, graphic design, to provide wonderful, specific cards for the theatre community.
“When I sit down to design cards, I begin by dreaming up the aesthetic that I'd like to capture. I envision the color scheme and design details before turning them into reality.”
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, theatre has hit a complete standstill. Now her designs have shifted toward our current realities and needs. With the holidays approaching, Cheers is here to save you from boring, generic cards, and also provide a practical gift that won’t go unused!
“I actually love picking out a box of thank you cards to gift to my friends. I like to believe that the gratitude they express through the cards will return to them tenfold. That karma is more valuable than anything I could fit in a gift bag.”
When asked what her favorite Cheers products are, Mia replied with her first collection. “I just love the powder pink accents and the marble background! Collectively, they make an all-around classy and practical gift.”
